I haven't used AOL since 2004 when we switched from dial-up to broadband and now over 7 years later I'm trying to login the forums of this website I was a member of back then but I forgot my password and they sent it to my AOL e-mail address.
I went to AOL.com and tried to sign into my e-mail but I forgot the password. I tried to reset it and it always says "Sorry we are currently unable to process your request. Please try again later."
Does this mean that it might be lost forever? I thought it would have been lost forever back in 2004 when my mom closed AOL for good and we switched to Verizon but apparently they can still send emails to my old email address.
How do I long into my old email address and check my mail?

I sent a message to an AOL e-mail address and it came back as failure to deliver stating "recipient rejected". What does that mean?
