I sent a thank you out and the person responded with nice words do I have to thank him again?

I have a bunch of foreign pen pals from students of the world . com. There have been a few that end their first message to me with "Send your picture."
Obviously they want a photo, but isn't this something that can wait a few weeks? Would they be offended if I told them not yet because I want to make sure he or she isn't a stalker serial killer or perv who actually lives across town? I'm being serious. In the past I'd just make up an excuse like using a school computer or not having a digital camera.
Also, if anyone knows anything about South Korean e-mail etiquette, please share, because I'm noticing a trend :)
By the way, this is done over e-mails and the website's messaging system, not snail mail.

I know people use short hand and acronyms when e-mailing. I don't mind some typos. But one of my friends blatantly has bad spelling. She is 40 years old, very smart and always says "You are a strong women"...part of me wants to correct her because it irks me that she doesn't even know the singular form of the word!
I don't know why the wrong use of words just makes me feel like saying "It EFFECT, not AFFECT!"
I mean, I don't even care about use of the words "wanna" and "gonna" and slang like that - but the complete incorrect use of a word makes me itch to correct the person - and she's an American who speaks clear English.
