STEAM is a company online that allows you to buy games online and installs them on your computer, like MW2 and Team fortress and warhammer ect...
recently decided to use steam again because almost all games my friends play require it. Now i cant for the life of me remember my password and my email that is registered on it is Deactivated. It was a free e-mail account given to me by my local e-mail provider. So i cannot reset my password.
Now i sent it a support e-mail to STEAM's staff and they said this.
"Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the software and associated Steam Account(s).
If you purchased software through Steam with a credit card, please confirm the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), full name, expiration date, and last four digits of the card used with the order(s).
If you purchased software through Steam through PayPal, please provide the PayPal account holder billing information (name and address) and the PayPal Invoice ID. The Invoice ID will be 16-18 digits long and comprised of only numbers. It may be listed as the Order Description Number.
If you registered software purchased at a retail location, please handwrite your Support Ticket Number 5347-YFVB-8502 on the quick reference card or sticker above the CD Key (the number should not be written on a separate piece of paper or inserted with an image editor) and reply with a digital photo or scan of the CD Key in .jpg format. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy."
Now i used my DEBT card VISA to buy all my games on there (over $100 worth) back in 2007. Now i am sure this is common and happens to a lot of people out there but i had an ex we were on a JOINT account and we broke up and i had to close the account and open a new one, Therefore i had to destroy my DEBT card. down the road i lost my card a few times at party's and had to get a new one thus getting more new cards.
Now STEAM tells me "I am sorry, you must provide valid proof of purchase for the account in question in order for us to provide further assistance." So they do not offer any other solution just a proof of purchase. i offerd to send them a legal photo copy faxed from the Tax collectors and them verifying WHO I AM on that account. and they just said "I am sorry, you must provide valid proof of purchase for the account in question in order for us to provide further assistance." again.
All other legit company's have a secret question and answer or a phone support or something to verify ownership...This is a legit company that over 50% of P.C. games are available to download legally and is advertised in many magazines. This seems really unfair and illegal. Is there anything i can do to get my account back? i spent so much money and they only see a proof of purchase as a way to verify ownership even when a government office offers to fax a legal document of my I.D listen on that account.

Basically I want a good (and preferably free) e-mail account that ISN'T Google, Apple, Microsoft, or yahoo.
I also use calendar and contacts features.
*ahem* As I mentioned in the two sentences, NOT Microsoft, Apple, Google, or Yahoo
OMG, doesn't anybody know how to read anymore? I don't care about online storage or cloud computing, I just want an e-mail provider with calendar and contacts. Nothing more.

I have e-mail accounts with msn and yahoo. Can I still access them overseas? For example like Europe as long as I have internet access of course. I think that there should be no problem and they should work, but I am not sure.
